I recently had the pleasure of visiting Culture Coffee, which is nestled in the vibrant Fairpark neighborhood. This cozy establishment is co-owned by Isaac Attencio and Mike Tuiasoa. Attencio, a Westside native, also co-owns the adjacent Salt Lake Barber Co., which makes this spot a convenient dual destination for both a coffee fix and a fresh haircut.

Upon arrival, the first thing that catches your eye is the bold and lively "Culture Coffee" sign. As you step inside, you're welcomed by the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the soulful sounds of classic R&B artists.

Once inside, you'll find a selection of vinyl records for sale, stunning artwork that reflects the Westside's heritage, and even free arcade games – an eclectic mix that truly enhances the community vibe. Culture Coffee isn’t just a place to grab a drink; it's a treasure trove of local culture.

Culture Coffee’s food is as unique as its atmosphere. While there, I tried the minced meat pie – a standout dish inspired by island cuisine locally sourced from Sagato Bakery and Cafe. It’s like a pot pie elevated, with a flaky crust enveloping a hearty mix of meat and cheese. Their diverse drink menu features everything from pour-overs to lattes. A standout beverage is the "Lo-Lo’s" – a richly flavored coffee with hints of caramel that’s delightful whether iced or hot.

If you're seeking a coffee shop with great vibes, exceptional coffee, and friendly faces, Culture Coffee is the place to be. Located on the corner of 900 West and 300 North, it offers an immersive experience that captures the spirit of the Westside. I rate Culture Coffee a perfect 10 out of 10 for both the overall experience and the food. A visit here is highly recommended for anyone seeking a taste of local culture alongside their coffee.
