Firefighter Training

As Utah communities continue to grow, so does the pervasiveness of high-rise structures. To meet the challenges posed by these large structures, local fire departments participate in comprehensive training programs, as pictured here from an event on October 22, 2024.

The firefighting drills put into practice Utah’s emergency mitigation guidelines for high-rises and other large structures. The guidelines were developed through a collaborative effort between the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy and a team of experts, including department directors, training officers and chiefs from fire departments across Utah.
